Properties temporarily unoccupied due to Government Restrictions imposed during the Corona Virus – Covid-19 pandemic
Most insurers have reviewed the cover they are able to provide for properties which are temporarily unoccupied or not in use following the introduction of HM Government restrictions imposed due to the Corona Virus Covid-19. The standard Unoccupancy terms included within your policy wording have been replaced and the table below details the period when your standard cover will remain in force. We have also included a summary of Additional Points to note during the period of Unoccupancy.
It is important to note that the revised terms only apply to closure resulting from HM Government restriction. If your premises were Unoccupied before the restrictions were imposed please contact us to seek clarification on any revisions to your terms and risk management conditions.
Insurers are reviewing the position on a regular basis.
