At Stanmore Insurance Brokers Ltd, we are very proud of our Bolton heritage and deeply committed to supporting our local community. Since establishing our Bolton-based business in 2012, it has been our mission to go beyond insurance by investing in people, backing local talent, and creating opportunities that contribute to the wider economic and social regeneration of the region. With a team of 32 colleagues, including 12 who live in Bolton, we continue to build a business where both our people and community thrive together.
Our commitment is demonstrated through strong partnerships with local organisations and businesses. We are proud to be a Business Partner of Bolton Wanderers Football Club, a club that plays a vital role in the town’s community life. Having our brand displayed at The Toughsheet Stadium is a privilege and a visible symbol of our Bolton pride.
We are also delighted to extend our partnership with Bolton Wanderers Football Club through a three-year agreement as the Official Back of Shorts Partner for the Women’s team. As a local business and a Business Partner Gold Member of the Bolton Commercial family, this collaboration allows us to further support the Whites’ Women’s team and reinforce our connection to the town and its people.

Being an independent, owner-managed company, we understand the importance of giving back to the community that has supported us. We work closely with local businesses and organisations. This not only includes Bolton Wanderers Football Club, but Bolton Lads and Girls Club (BLGC) whose dedication to the health and wellbeing of young people in Bolton we greatly admire.
Now more than ever, the health and wellbeing of young people has never been more important, and the services the club offer in our local community is inspiring to say the least, which is why we are proud to work with a club doing so much for the future of Bolton.
It is not just the town itself that is near and dear to our heart, it is the people and we are proud to work with amazing individuals. Supporting local talent and individuals is a priority for us, especially empowering women in business. We are proud sponsors of the Stepping Stone Award through SHE Inspires, which provides a £1,000 cash prize from Stanmore Insurance Brokers Ltd, and a year of mentoring to help female entrepreneurs thrive. Our community involvement also includes being founder-members of Friends of The Bereavement Café
and Headline Sponsor of the SHE Inspires Awards. We have supported Fortalice, a Bolton based charity providing frontline services for people who are, or have been, affected by domestic abuse and violence.
In 2024, we were honoured to receive The Apprentice, Training & Skills Award at the Bolton News Business Awards, recognising our commitment to workforce development through apprenticeships and training programmes.
We actively support charitable causes by helping local organisations secure funding from the Aviva Broker Community Fund.
Recent beneficiaries include Girls Out Loud, and Orange Hub, which received funding to support victims of domestic violence. Beyond financial support, we offer time, skills, and resources to strengthen local initiatives.
Located close to the University of Greater Manchester, we value our strong links with the academic community. Our Managing Director, Jackie Hyde, serves on the university’s industrial advisory board and contributes to research projects, including a PhD study on SEND challenges in Early Years education.
Staying true to where we are from, and championing it, is one of the key parts of our ethos at Stanmore Insurance. This is why we will continue to champion the hard work of the people and businesses of Bolton, while simultaneously giving back to those throughout the community. We are grateful to Bolton and everyone who lives and works here. After all, without Bolton and those who live here, we could not have got to where we are today, and for that, we are forever thankful.
